Emily D. Bretz is a family law and estate planning attorney with more than ten years of legal experience. She is committed to helping individuals and families navigate complex and often emotional legal matters with care, clarity, and practical guidance. Her work centers on developing thoughtful solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs and long-term goals.

Attorney Bretz began her legal career in criminal defense, where she built a strong foundation in advocacy and courtroom practice. Over time, her focus shifted toward family law and estate planning, allowing her to work more closely with clients during important life transitions. Her background provides a balanced perspective and informs an approach that is both strategic and measured.

Her practice includes a wide range of family and domestic matters, including adoption, guardianship, legitimation, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, post-separation support, and alimony, as well as estate planning services. Attorney Bretz strives to resolve matters efficiently and amicably whenever possible, while remaining prepared to advocate for her clients when court involvement is necessary.
